Abstract

Abstrak: Kehadiran anak merupakan dambaan bagi setiap pasangan yang telah menikah. Tidak sedikit pasangan yang menginginkan anak yang banyak. Keinginan tersebut dipengaruhi oleh berbagai factor baik sosial ekonomi, budaya juga agama. Banyak negara yang memiliki keyakinan dan budaya yang kuat bahwa memiliki anak dapat membawa kebahagiaan. Pemenuhan hidup serta meningkatkan kesejahteraan. Jumlah anak yang banyak sering kali menjadi masalah bagi orang tua karena dapat mengurangi konsumsi mengurangi waktu luang bagi perempuan. Namun pada beberapa pasangan banyak yang mengharapkan memiliki anak yang banyak. Maka dari itu, makalah ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kehadiran anak dan jumlah anak terhadap kebahagiaan orang tua. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, pengaruh kehadiran anak dan jumlah anak bergantung pada kondisi sosial ekonomi dari pasangan atau orang tua tersebut. Semakin banyak anak kadang bisa meningkatkan kesejahteraan, kepuasan juga kebahagiaan bagi orang tua jika kondisi sosial ekonominya baik. Banyaknya jumlah anak sangat mempengaruhi kondisi kepuasan, kebahagiaan dan kesejahteraan bagi perempuan dibandingkan laki-laki. Banyaknya anak dan kehadiran anak bagi orang tua juga dipengaruhi oleh aspek agama, dimana ada beberapa keyakinan juga agama yang pronatalis atau mendukung kelahiran.
