Focus and Scope

Focus An-Nisbah: [Jurnal Ekonomi Syariah] aims to facilitate the dissemination of original research, theoretical studies, and critical analyses within the fields of Islamic economics and banking. The journal serves as a platform for academics, researchers, and practitioners to share innovative ideas that contribute to the development of knowledge and the practical application of Sharia principles, both at local and international levels.

Scope We invite manuscripts that address a wide range of topics within the following areas (but not limited to):

  1. Islamic Banking: Operational management, financial performance, risk management, Sharia governance, Sharia compliance, and product innovation in Islamic banking.

  2. Islamic Economics: Islamic microeconomic and macroeconomic theories, history of Islamic economic thought, and public policy based on Sharia principles.

  3. Islamic Social Finance: Management of Zakat, Infaq, Sadaqah, and Waqf (ZISWAF), Islamic philanthropy, and its role in community economic empowerment and poverty alleviation.

  4. Islamic Capital Markets and Investment: Sharia-compliant capital market instruments (Sukuk, Sharia Mutual Funds), Islamic stock indices, and ethical investment analysis.

  5. Islamic Financial and Business Law: Contemporary Fiqh Muamalah analysis, legal aspects of contracts (akad) in financial transactions, and Sharia economic regulations.

  6. Islamic Accounting and Auditing: Sharia accounting standards, internal/external auditing in Islamic financial institutions, and sustainability reporting.

  7. Islamic Financial Technology (Fintech): Digitalization of Islamic banking, Sharia-compliant crowdfunding, and technological challenges within the Islamic digital economic ecosystem.

  8. Halal Business and Entrepreneurship: Halal industry, Sharia business management, Islamic business ethics, and Muslim-friendly tourism.
