Focus and Scope

Dinamika Penelitian: Media Komunikasi Penelitian Sosial Keagamaan publishes original and rigorous research examining Islam, Muslim societies, socio-religious dynamics, community empowerment, community development, and social transformation.

The journal welcomes empirical, field-based, interdisciplinary, and community-engaged research addressing topics such as:

• Islam and contemporary Muslim social life;

• socio-religious change and social transformation;

• community empowerment and community development;

• religious practices, institutions, identities, and social relations;

• community outreach and community-based initiatives;

• participatory action research and engaged scholarship;

• religion, communication, media, and digital society;

• socio-religious responses to social, cultural, economic, environmental, and technological change;

• public policy and development issues affecting Muslim communities; and

• the transformation of community service and grassroots experiences into academically grounded knowledge.

The journal welcomes contributions from Islamic studies, sociology, anthropology, communication, education, public policy, development studies, and related disciplines, provided that the manuscript demonstrates a clear and substantive connection to socio-religious dynamics, Muslim societies, community empowerment, or community development orsocial transformation.

Studies focusing primarily on classroom instruction, learning media, educational technology, curriculum development, business management, technical economics, doctrinal legal analysis, or other discipline-specific issues without a meaningful socio-religious or community-development dimension are generally outside the journal’s scope.

Dinamika Penelitian prioritizes manuscripts that offer clear empirical evidence, theoretical or conceptual contributions, and meaningful implications for understanding or improving social and community life in Muslim contexts.
