Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission is an original work, free from any form of plagiarism in the text, data, figures, or tables. Any reused image is properly attributed.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission has been approved for publication by all co-authors and relevant authorities (e.g. an institution or sponsor).
  • The submission has been prepared in accordance with the author guidelines.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

We expect a research article to be between 3,000 and 6,000 words (excluding references), as this ensures that it contains all of the prerequisite elements of this type of article while still avoiding redundancy. Even so, we do understand that sometimes it is necessary for an article to exceed these limits, and if this is the case with yours, please explain why in your comment to the editor.

As a guidance, we have a specific format that researchers must follow in order to maintain the quality of Ar-Rehla journal publications. Please download the template that we have prepared below.

Privacy Statement

In order to carry out its functions as a journal, Ar Rehla requires the names and affiliations of authors, along with the email addresses of corresponding authors. This information is used solely for the purposes of enabling authors to be identified as such.

None of your information is ever shared with a third party, or used outside of the aforementioned context. Please visit our privacy policy.
