Authorship Criteria and Contributions

Al-Tadris: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Arab

Al-Tadris: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Arab is committed to ensuring fair, transparent, and responsible authorship practices. Authorship must reflect substantial scholarly contributions to the research and manuscript. All listed authors must meet the journal's authorship criteria and accept responsibility for their contributions to the published work.

1. Authorship Eligibility

To qualify for authorship, each author must meet the following criteria:Make a substantial contribution to the conception or design of the study, the collection of data, or the analysis and interpretation of research findings. (Participate in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content, Approve the final version of the manuscript before submission or publication, and Agree to be accountable for their own contributions and to cooperate in addressing questions concerning the accuracy or integrity of the work).

All authors are expected to satisfy these criteria. Individuals who provide only administrative support, funding, technical assistance, language editing, or general supervision without meeting the authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately rather than automatically listed as authors.

2. First Author and Corresponding Author

The first author is generally the individual who has made a leading contribution to the research and manuscript, as agreed upon by the research team.

The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the editorial office throughout submission, peer review, revision, and publication. The corresponding author must ensure that all authors have approved the manuscript, that author information is accurate, and that relevant declarations have been provided.

The first author and corresponding author may be the same person.

3. Order of Authors

The order of authors must be agreed upon by all authors before submission. The order should reflect the nature and extent of each author's scholarly contribution and follow the agreement established by the research team.

The journal does not determine author order on behalf of the authors. All authors are expected to resolve authorship disagreements transparently and in accordance with applicable institutional policies.

4. Author Contributions

Authors are encouraged to provide a statement describing each author's contribution to the research and manuscript. Contributions may include conceptualization, methodology, data collection, formal analysis, investigation, writing the original draft, reviewing and editing, supervision, and project administration.

Where appropriate, the journal may request an author contribution statement using the CRediT taxonomy or another suitable format.

5. Changes in Authorship

Any request to add, remove, or rearrange authors after submission must be justified in writing and approved by all affected authors, including any author being added or removed.

The editorial team may request additional documentation before considering the change. Changes in authorship will not be approved solely on the request of the corresponding author without the required agreement and justification.

6. Unethical Authorship Practices

Al-Tadris prohibits guest, honorary, gift, and ghost authorship. All listed authors must have made qualifying scholarly contributions, and all individuals who meet the authorship criteria should be given appropriate consideration for authorship.

Disputes or suspected violations of authorship ethics will be handled in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policy and, where necessary, referred to the relevant institution.

7. Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence

Generative artificial intelligence tools cannot be listed as authors because they cannot assume responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and accountability of scholarly work.

Authors must disclose the use of generative AI tools when required by the journal's AI policy. Human authors remain fully responsible for verifying the accuracy of AI-assisted content, citations, translations, and analyses.

8. Author Approval and Accountability

By submitting a manuscript, the corresponding author confirms that all listed authors have approved the submitted version, agreed to the authorship order, and consented to submission to Al-Tadris: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Arab.

All authors share responsibility for the integrity of the work and must cooperate with the journal in addressing questions, corrections, or concerns arising before or after publication.
