Penelitian dialek bahasa Jawa ini bertujuan untuk mengetetahui kondisi kebahasaan masyarakat di Pemalang, Jawa Tengah. Penelitian ini melalui proses pengamatan, pendiskripsian, pembagian wilayah, dan penentuan status kebahasaan. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah deskripsi kualitatif dan menggunakan sumber data cakap muka, lanjut rekam, dan lanjut catat. Penelitian ini menggunakan 200 kata Swadesh dan terdapat 37 perbedaan leksikon dari dua wilayah tersebut.
