Peer Review Process

The Jurnal Bahasa Lingua Scientia (JBLS) implements a rigorous, transparent, and ethical peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of published articles.
- Paper Submission
Authors submit their manuscripts through the Jurnal Bahasa Lingua Scientia (JBLS) submission system. All submissions must follow the journal’s scope, focus, and author guidelines. - Initial Editorial Screening
The Editor conducts a preliminary review to assess the manuscript based on the following criteria:- Relevance to the journal’s aims and scope
- Significance and contribution to the field
- Originality and novelty
- Clarity of writing, language use, and grammar
- Plagiarism check
- Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected at this stage.
- Peer Review Process
The manuscript is sent to two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. Jurnal Bahasa Lingua Scientia (JBLS) applies a double-blind peer review, where both authors’ and reviewers’ identities are concealed. The review process typically takes approximately 2–4 months, depending on reviewer availability and the extent of revisions required. - Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor makes one of the following decisions: - Author Revision (if required)
If revisions are requested, authors must revise their manuscript according to the reviewers’ and editor’s comments and resubmit within the specified timeframe. - Editorial Review of Revised Manuscript
The Editor reviews the revised submission to ensure that all comments and recommendations have been adequately addressed. If necessary, the manuscript may be returned to the reviewers. - Production and Publication
The accepted manuscript enters the production stage, including copyediting, layout, and proofreading, before being officially published in Jurnal Bahasa Lingua Scientia (JBLS).
