Abstract: This study aims to analyze the potential and obstacles to the application of sharia economic values in the development of Ayla Park as a halal tourist destination in Kerinci Regency. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach combined with field research methods. Data were gathered through semi-structured interviews, observations, documentation, and open-ended questionnaires involving three primary informants and 13 supporting informants selected from the visitors. The research findings show that Ayla Park has a huge potential to be used as a community-focused halal tourism destination. This is shown by the support of managers, village governments, and customary institutions, as well as the practice of waqf, infaq, and alms that provide socio-economic benefits for the community. However, the implementation of the institutional principles of halal tourism is not optimal because the manager's understanding is still partial, worship facilities and supporting facilities are inadequate, swimming pools are still mixed, and there is no special village regulation. The findings of this study show that halal tourism development requires institutional strengthening, facility improvement, and community participation so that destinations can be managed sustainably.
